Meaning: We bow the Maruthi, Sri Hanuman, who stands with his folded hands above his forehead with a torrent tears flowing down his eyes wherever the Names of Lord Rama is sung.
With the blessings of Lord Ganesha, Lord Rama, Lord Hanuman I start to translate the Sundara kandam (from Valmiki Ramayanam) to English.
In Ramayana, once Ravana abducted Sita and kept her in Lanka, Rama and Lakshmana went in search . They met Sukreeva and Hanuman. Rama and Lakshmana help Sukreeva get his Kingdom back from Vali. Being thankful to Rama, Sukreeva promised that the entire Vanaras will help Rama find Sita.
In Sundara Kandam, Rama gives Hanuman the Ring of Sita and sends him in search of her to Lanka. Hanuman, crosses mountains and the sea to Lanka and finds Sita. He conveys the message of Rama to Sita and gives confidence to her that Rama will come and release her soon from the clutches of Ravana.
Hanuman, in the process destroys Ravanas Brindavan and meets Ravana. Ravana punishes him by putting fire on Hanumans tail. Hanuman scorches the entire Lanka with the fire , teaches asuras a lesson, and goes back to Rama and conveys the message that Sita is safe and waiting for Rama to come and rescue her.
